The Brief

MAC Auto is an independent mobile mechanic service owned and operated by Marcus Christy. Marcus reached out as he was looking to create a brand for his new business.

Marcus and his son had sat down and came up with the name MAC Auto Mechanical which cleverly incorporates Marcus' name. They also wanted to include spanners somehow and liked a black and white colour scheme.

A Uniek Solution

In order to create the right balance in the name MAC Auto Mechanical I needed to break it up somehow. Using two spanners to create the letter 'A' in MAC I enlarged the first word and put everything in a roundel badge design which would allow me to incorporate other elements to accent the mechanical services. I also wanted to personalise it so we decided to add two stars to represent MAC Auto's home Nuhaka.

I created a custom logo type which contains the same shapes and lines as the hexagon shape used for the bolts which perfectly fits the style of this brand.

We finished the project off by producing business cards and social media collateral.
